When I graduated, my parents bought me my first “real” camera. It was like starting a wild fire!
I’m what you would call a “self-taught” photographer, or as I like to call it, a “self-learning” photographer. I’m constantly learning and challenging myself with new techniques and styles.
I have two children that are both have graduated college now! Yay for them!! They make me want to be a better photographer. Wade, my son is 25 and Claire, my daughter is 22.
I’m married to the greatest man around; my high school sweetheart, Andy. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without him! Not only does he help out at the shoots from time to time, but he also keeps our home up and running during the busy season.
It’s difficult to explain exactly what it is I love about photography. There is something about the happiness and pride I see on a families face when I take their picture. It gives me the ultimate experience of joy and satisfaction. Far beyond words.
About 7 years ago, I went to my Moms for a visit. And of course, I had my camera. After much convincing, I was able to steal a few very adorable photos of her. In my opinion, they were some of the cutest pictures I’ve ever seen of her! About a week later, Mom passed away. I was reminded again, why I love photography so much and why I feel it’s so important to take pictures with those you love as often as possible.
God plays an important role in the lives of my family and I. I have to give him the glory! He continues to bless our lives with other wonderful people. I try to live by this and although sometimes I fail, I’ll always pick myself up and try, try again!
Psalms 37:4 Delight your self in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart!
Well that’s enough about me! I love meeting new people. My grandmother in law always said I have the “gift of gab” – haha. I’ve always taken that as a compliment! Let me help make time stand still for you and your family. Contact me today!
